Cortez BMX held its end of year party on September 26th hosting 47 riders! Contratulations to our riders who received Leadership, Sportsmanship, and Most Improved awards. We are so proud of all of our riders and their accomplishments this season. Thank you again to all of our parent volunteers that support us at every race.

Board Meeting Topics (09/26/09)

Big Ideas:

* We will be purchasing the updated cadence which will be in place at the beginning of next season.

*The board is getting bids to concrete the start hill. There are many things to consider about this project, but we will keep you up-todate on our progress.

* Possibility of new shed. We are the only track in the state that does not have multiple sheds or buildings. We would like to update the shed to include better ventilation, more storage, include electric box inside the shed, segregate the compressor from working area, and improve access to sign-in window and concessions.

* Gear Swap: Keep all of your old gear! We will be organizing a gear swap at the beginning of next season (similar to a ski swap). More details on this event in the Spring.

* Pursuit of Non-Profit status

Important Information

The 2009 season is now closed. Racing will resume again in the Spring (most likely in mid-May). We will be posting schedules for track maintenance when we get close to beginning race day. Enjoy your winter activities!
